CDE Pivotal Practice
A California Distinguished School

2021 CA Distinguished School, 2022 Pivotal Practice Award, 2023 School to Watch!

  • Welcome to Vista!  We are thrilled to be in the 2022-2023 school year for more reasons than can be counted.  First and foremost, we are in our modernized site with the opportunity to provide each falcon a premier educational experience.  The facility has an esports room, a culinary arts room, and a garden space that allows our students to learn the science of cooking in a farm-to-table atmosphere.

This year, we are continuing to build upon the momentum from receiving the California Distinguished School award in 2021, the California Pivotal Practice Award in 2022, and growing our many innovative programs.  Our staff is second to none in their ability to educate, nurture, and create opportunities for students.  At Vista, we provide an educational experience that puts students at the heart and center of everything.  Our middle school is their home where students build strong memories and a sense of belonging.  As facilitators of education, it is our joy to provide a space where students form positive relationships, make choices that protect their physical and mental health, have so much fun they do not realize they are learning, and know they are surrounded by caring adults.

The PBIS framework we use to support this work is SOAR.  Each of our falcons develops the following skills:

    Safety First

    On time, on task, organized

    Academic excellence

    Respectful and responsible

We are committed to developing these characteristics in each student to ensure they become the best iteration of themselves.

So, if you are a part of our falcon family, we are so happy to be in community with you.  Thank you for entrusting the educational needs, safety, and wellbeing of your child in the hands of our exceptional staff.  If you would like to see what we have to offer at Vista, call or email.  We would love to set up a time for you to come and see the unique middle school experience we provide our students.

    All the best,

    Dr. Gates, Principal
