Lake View Elementary School honored local veterans at the school's Friday Flag Ceremony on November 9, 2018. Members from American Legion Huntington Beach Post 133 addressed the audience and sounded to "The Colors" with a bugle, while raising the school's American flag. Post 133 veterans supporting the Lake View event were: Dave Badgett, USN Vietnam; Ernest Delgado, USMC Vietnam; Jim Seiler, USAF Vietnam; and Russ Dohrmann, USA Vietnam.
Students and staff kicked off the assembly with a patriotic and school song. Principal Jamie Goodwyn also invited veteran and active military family members to be recognized in front of the school with their children and grandchildren. Several students spoke and thanked those who serve in our military for their service.
