Superwomen of STEAM

Lake View hosted a special family event to highlight careers in the five content areas of STEAM, to make the evening even more significant the speakers were all successful women in their field.  A Veterinarian, Video Game Artist, Environmental Engineer, Abstract Artist, and Finance Director all provided an overview and reasons why they love their job.  Each speaker had the opportunity to talk about their journey to their career of choice because of their passions in elementary school.  The most significant commonality was that each woman spoke about how they collaborate with their colleagues and solve problems on the job every day.  The children had the opportunity to ask the panel questions about their careers and get autographs.  Dr. Jennifer Kumar, Lisa Anderson, Arlis Reynolds, Salina Mendoza, and Belinda Lam were very inspirational and made a lifelong impact on the families who came to the event.
