• Pennies for Puppies

    Hello, All

On behalf of Hope View School, I would like to thank our local Huntington Beach Starbucks, District 167.

Several blankets were collected for the animal shelter and $400 was donated to Guide Dogs of America!

Their generous donations help fund our animal shelters and our annual “Pennies for Puppies” drive to support Guide Dogs of America.

    Hello, Friends!

Here is a special message from the President of Guide Dogs of America:

Like most successful organizations, Guide Dogs of America depends on the talents, goals, and generosity of many dedicated people. In our case, this group includes our board of directors, staff, puppy raisers, volunteers, donors, and the visually impaired men and women that we serve.

While many of us may know the pleasure of canine companionship and loyalty from our family pet, we cannot appreciate the complexity of the relationship that develops between a person who is visually impaired and his/her guide dog.

Because GDA understands so well the critical interdependence between the user and the dog, our staff is adept at grasping the personalities and attributes of each dog and each visually impaired person to make a good match. Our instructors are also experts at incorporating the lifestyle and circumstances of each visually impaired person when developing our training programs.

With no government funding, our school relies solely on donations and fundraising to provide guide dogs and instruction in their use free of charge. All of us at GDA greatly enjoy our work and we’re grateful for our donors and volunteers’ generous support that changes the lives of so many men and women who are visually impaired.

Thank you Hope View community for your support.

    Hello, everyone

There are only one and a half months left before the school year ends and I invited some friends to school today!

First grade students also read a story from their Wonders books about service dogs, and Hope View kicked off our annual Pennies for Puppies donation drive to support Guide Dogs of America.

Scroll down to view some great new photos in the gallery. I'll keep you updated as the 2018-2019 school year comes to a close!

    Hello, everyone.

Take a look at the gallery for a sneak peek of Hope View's 5th grade Panoramic Picture! I also had the pleasure of helping Hope View accept a donation from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society yesterday. Keep your eyes open for more adventures.

Thank you Ocean View School District for your support during my journey. Being a guide dog is not the job I am choosing now but I know I will find a job I love! I loved going to Hope View every day and I know my job will have to do with helping kids.
