More Enrollment Information
*How old does my child need to be to enroll?
- CSPP eligible four-year-old children are defined as children who have their fourth birthday on or before December 1 of the fiscal year they are being served.
- CSPP eligible three-year-old children are defined as children who have their third birthday on or before December 1 of the fiscal year they are being served. Children who have their third birthday on or after December 2 of the fiscal year, may be enrolled in a California state preschool program on or after their third birthday. (NOTE: Children who are not chronologically three-years-old may be enrolled in the General Child Care and Development (CCTR) Program until their third birthday if served in a toddler setting.)
*When does enrollment/registration begin?
-June 1 is the first day, applications are available online. Applications will also be available at Oak View Preschool's office.
*When does enrollment/registration end?
-Enrollment is open until spaces are all filled.
*I want the morning session, will I get it if I'm first to return my application?
-No, the morning session is not guaranteed regardless of when the application is turned in. Due to State requirements, other factors determine student placement. We try our best to accomodate parent requests.
*How do I know if my family will income-qualify?
-Check the attached guidelines to check your eligibility based on family size and gross wages (before taxes). Income Guidelines
*Is there a full-day state preschool program?
-Yes, there are limited spaces available for the full-day program.
*Is there a cost for the full-day state preschool program?
-Family fees may apply. Contact the preschool office at 714-843-6938 for more information.
*If I don't qualify for free preschool, is there any other program available?
-You would be able to register at our tuition-based preschool. Click here for more information.
