A child’s mother or father is the best person volunteer however; a family member or adult (over 18 years of age) who cares for the child is also welcome to be a classroom volunteer. TB clearance is required (results for adults are valid for 4 years).

On September 1, 2016 a new law was approved requiring employees and volunteers in preschool and child care programs to be immunized. These requirements were added to keep all children and families healthy and safe – which is our number one priority.

The following immunizations are required before volunteering in the classroom:

Pertussis (TDAP)
Measles (MMR)
Influenza (may be declined)
