How We Communicate
The Ocean View School District has adopted ParentSquare as its primary communication platform, utilizing email, text, and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically syncs with our Student Information System, Aeries, to create accounts for parents using their preferred email address and phone number. This unified platform is designed to keep families informed while fostering stronger engagement and connection with our schools. ParentSquare provides a safe, reliable way for District administrators, principals, teachers, staff, parents, and guardians to:
- Send and receive District, school and class information
- Share pictures and files
- Sign-up to volunteer
- And much more...all in one centralized place!
We encourage parents and guardians to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.
ParentSquare is a safe, secure, and modern approach to communication and collaboration between school and home.
As a registered parent, you can:
- Receive messages from the school and District via phone, email, text, or app notification
- Choose to receive information as it comes or all at once with a daily digest at 6 p.m.
- Communicate in your preferred language
- Comment on school postings to engage with your school community
- Direct message teachers, staff, and other parents
- Participate in group messages from schools and teachers
