Assistant Principal's Welcome Message
Welcome to the 2019-20 school year I am honored to serve you as Mesa View's Assistant Principal for the 2nd year. I look forward to working with and getting to know your child. Working together, with the teachers I am confident that we will continue to provide our students with a truly rigorous and enriching school experience. Mesa View is a special and unique community of which I am proud to be a part.
Before coming to Ocean View School District, for the past 17 years, I was in the Cypress School District where I was a teacher on special assignment. In this role I was able to use my leadership skills in district Professional Development focused on Thinking Maps and how to meet the needs of Diverse Learners. I earned my Bachelors of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies from CSULB. As a lifelong learner, I continued my education and received my Master's Degree and teaching credential from Whittier College.
On a personal level, I live in Long Beach with my Husband Ray and my three children Kaylee, 21 who is starting school at the Fashion Design Institute. Brayden, 14 a sophomore at Los Alamitos High School and loves Choir, swimming, and all animals. Makenzie, 13 who is an 8th grader at McAuliffe Middle School, she loves makeup, family time and her summer of Jr Guards. We also have quite a few pets Tank our dog, a Ball Python, two rabbits, two turtles, and two lizards. When we are not at home, we love to go camping, fishing, listen to Country Music, or spend the day at Knotts Berry Farm.
