I am thrilled to begin my second year as Principal at Marine View Middle School. I am very fortunate to work with such amazing staff, students, parents and community. The Marine View staff is dedicated to providing a safe environment that fosters higher-level thinking, collaboration, inclusivity, and creativity. I believe middle school is a pivotal point in student’s educational career and our job is to prepare and guide our students on a path of success into high school and beyond. I am very excited to celebrate the many successes to come in the 2019-2020 school year!
Prior to joining the Marine View team four years ago as the Assistant Principal, I worked in the Los Angeles Unified School District for 13 years where I was a teacher and Assistant Principal. I was born and raised in central Minnesota, attended North Dakota State University where I earned my teaching degree. After graduation, I moved to Southern California to begin my teaching career and went on to earn my master’s degree in school administration at Concordia University, Irvine. My husband and I have one son who will begin kindergarten this fall. Outside of Marine View, I enjoy spending time with my family going to the beach and taking in all the beauty of southern California.
