Principal's Welcome Message
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Lake View and the innovative educational program. Lake View officially became a STEAM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Arts-Math) school during the 2016-2017 school year. With a fully integrated STEAM curriculum during the entire school day, students are immersed in a unique educational experience. We believe that our children must be adequately prepared to meet the opportunities and demands of the 21st century workforce. Preparing children now for collaboration, innovation and experimentation is the key to nurturing our children to be ready for an ever-changing world.
This will be my 3rd year as the Principal of Lake View Elementary School and I am thankful that I have the honor of serving this school and the community. As we move into the 2022-2023 school year, I look forward to relevant and rigorous opportunities for our students to thrive and grow. We have continued to update and enhance our STEAM program with a class set of 3-D printers, hydroponics, View Sonic boards for each classroom, a set of drones, computers that students will build from scratch, and more robotic kits for every grade level. We have professional development planned for our teachers to keep them up to date on current STEAM practices along with Project-Based Learning.
We have all been through some challenging times over the past couple of years and we are prepared to hit the ground running this year to meet the needs of our students and give them the tools and skills to excel. I know that we are stronger together and look forward to partnering with you this year to make it the best school year yet!
Please take a moment to look at the information on our website about our unique and innovative program. The videos and presentations provide valuable information about who we are and show you what it is like to be a student at Lake View.
