Holly Sjogren

Hi! Welcome to my Hope View website page!

I have been teaching at Hope View for 26 years, and I have been teaching in Ocean View School District since 1990. I have loved my job since the first day, and I continue to find new, unique ways to break through to my students. I am a PBIS coordinator and I am in charge of the weekly Monday message, the Wednesday flag assembly, and MAD ticket store. I also help with student council and help organize the Hope View Hawk program (conflict managers), and the Hope View tutoring program.

I graduated from UCI in 1987, and later attended Chapman and received my masters in school counseling. Before coming to Hope View I taught at Spring View and also in the Long Beach School District.

Outside of school, I am involved with Guide Dogs of America, and I bring my puppy in training, Luka, to Hope View every day. Luka has had a visible positive impact on the kids at Hope View, and I hope to continue training future guide dogs in the near future. I have two beautiful daughters, Hannah and Cora, that my husband, Bob and I have raised. Hannah and Cora are both Hope View alumni!  My class motto is “If it is to be, it is up to me!”
