Information Technology

Welcome to Ocean View's Information Technology (IT) department! Our mission is to ensure the security of our network, integrity of student data, and ease of use in technology and communications for all of our school district's staff, students, and community.

What We Do

We handle the deployment, administration, and support of various technologies, devices, network and voice communication infrastructures, and services that enable the District to perform its educational mission and give students an opportunity to engage in a 21st-century learning environment. We have highly-skilled and courteous technicians servicing all 16 of our school sites, support sites, and the District Office, as well as a full-service database analyst supporting our District's Student Information System (SIS), powered by Aeries.

We implement technical elements of and provide support for audio/visual and technology needs in every facet of the District, including special education, the District and school websites, events happening throughout the District, STEM/STEAM programs, nutrition services, and much more. We are proud to provide effective educational technology service to meet the demands of modern learning.

IT Help Desk

The OVSD Help Desk assists employees with all information technology issues. The IT Department can respond to requests related to software (e.g., Outlook, Aeries, Windows) and hardware (e.g., Chromebooks, laptops, desktop computers, iPads, printers, ViewSonic Boards).

Two ways to contact the Help Desk (fastest option first):

1. Submit a Help Desk Ticket (fastest service)
   Submit a ticket online at the OVSD Help Desk
   (Log in with your district email and password.)
    
2. Call the Help Desk
   Extension 1200 | Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Please note:  HP Printer Tickets and Website Requests have been consolidated into the IT Ticket System.  Please submit a ticket for those services.
