Board Policies
The Board of Trustees adopts written policies to explain actions that may be taken by District staff, clarify the roles of the Board and Superintendent, and share the Board’s philosophy and positions regarding students, staff, families, and community. They ensure the policies align with the District’s vision and goals, support student learning and achievement, promote consistent and fair treatment of students and staff, and proactively advance equity and equal access to opportunities for all students. While the policy manual reflects legal requirements at the time of adoption, changes may result neccessitating revision. No policy, bylaw, or administrative regulation is operative if it conflicts with applicable laws, regulations, or court decisions. Policies are reviewed on a regular basis during public Board meetings with dedicated time on the agenda for this purpose.
