Classified Employee Programs & Opportunities
Ocean View School District is committed to providing valuable resources and opportunities to current classified employees. Classified employees are encouraged to take advantage of the programs/opportunities below.
Classified Employee Summer Assistance Program
The Classified Employee Summer Assistance Program is a state-funded program that provides eligible classified employees up to a dollar-for-dollar match on the contributions an employee makes during the school year. Employee contributions plus state matched funds are then distributed in the summer when employees who work less than 12 months do not usually receive a paycheck.
The Classified Employee Summer Assistance Program first began for the 2019-2020 school year. As a result of surplus funds from the state for this particular program, the program has been extended once again for the 2021-2022 school year.
The application period for this program is typically in February. Current OVSD classified employees should monitor their district issued email addresses since Human Resources will send out updates on the program via email.
