• Medications, both prescription and over the counter, may be given at school when it is deemed absolutely necessary by the authorized health care provider that the medication be given during school hours. The signed Parent/Guardian And Authorized Health Care Provider Request For Medication, along with the prescription or over the counter medication in the original container labeled with the name of the student, name of the medicine, dosage requirements and the doctor’s name must be provided to the school office. Students cannot bring aspirin, ibuprofen or any other medication to school on their own. All medication, prescription and over the counter, no matter how routine or harmless it may appear, must be authorized by a health care provider and kept in the school office during school hours.
