• Spring View Middle School  is a PBIS Bronze Level School.

Time to celebrate! Our school has recently been recognized for our work implementing a school-wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) framework. PBIS is a set of strategies based in behavioral and biomedical science that enhances students' quality of life and reduces problem behaviors. National research shows that full implementation of this framework leads to improved student outcomes.

By establishing this framework, we are developing student skills, making changes to the school environment, acknowledging appropriate student behavior, and using data to identify needed support for our students.

Here at Spring View, our PBIS Program consists of training for our students of our school-wide expectations, where every Spartan can L.E.A.D. Lead by Example, Exhibit Safe Behaviors, Act Respectfully, Demonstrate Responsibility.  We spent our first week back at school going over these expectations and plan to revisit them throughout our school year. Each month, teachers on our Leadership team look at our discipline data to adjust or reteach our expectations to our Spartans.

As a result of this work, we are being recognized by the PBIS Project for achieving Bronze PBIS Model School status. This award demonstrates our commitment to positive and equitable outcomes for all students and helps us celebrate our efforts as we progress toward full implementation of PBIS.
