Volunteer Information
-
We greatly appreciate your interest in becoming a volunteer in the Ocean View School District. Your time and effort are important to us because we know that our volunteers make a valuable contribution to the learning environment. In an effort to strengthen campus safety at all of our schools, we are using the Raptor Visitor/Volunteer Management System. Raptor enables us to better screen all visitors and volunteers. We continue to adhere to our Volunteer Policy with the implementation of Raptor.
Thank you in advance for supporting our incredible students and staff!

COVID Update for 2022-2023 School Year
-
Provided Governor Newsom's announcement on September 13, 2022, to end weekly COVID testing for K-12 school employees that are unverified, the weekly COVID testing for volunteers will also end effective September 17, 2022. You may view the Public Health Order here.
Parents and visitors are welcome in outdoor locations for school events. Volunteers in classrooms may be permitted on a limited basis and may be temporarily paused due to positive COVID-19 cases in the classroom/school. During small group instruction when in close proximity, adults are strongly encouraged to remain masked whether indoors or outdoors. Classroom preparation/support should occur outside of the presence of students whenever possible. All volunteers, regardless of vaccination status, must follow Tier 1 or Tier 2 guidelines.
