Welcome to the Ocean View School District's Transitional Kindergarten (TK) page. TK is defined as the first year of a two-year Kindergarten program for children who do not yet meet the minimum age criterion for admittance into Kindergarten. Students who complete the TK program are eligible to continue to Kindergarten the following school year. TK is to assist children in developing the academic, social and emotional skills they need to succeed in Kindergarten and beyond.

The goals of the program are to facilitate development in essential skills such as:

• Physical development
• Health
• Visual and performing arts
• Science
• History-social science
• English language development
• Social-emotional development
