  • To best protect our students, staff, and community here is some information about how we are redesigning our educational environment around COVID-19:

As we embark on this new educational journey together, we acknowledge that any other learning platform outside of face-to-face learning won't have the exact same feel as traditional schooling. And there will be challenges. We will face and solve those, known and unknown, challenges together.  The administrative team, teachers, and office staff look forward to this experience as we work to establish new educational routines, which will surely support the notion of regaining some semblance of normalcy and increased optimism.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Vista View serves approximately 600 students in grades six through eight. Central to our educational program is a commitment to modeling, teaching and honoring the values of SOAR

    • Safety first
    • On time, On task, Organized
    • Act responsibly
    • Respect for self and others

We teach these values within a community environment where students are safe, comfortable, and accepted. As a staff, we believe that all students can succeed academically and we have a culture that celebrates student success.

Vista was recently recognized by the Educational Results Partnership (ERP) and the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence (CBEE) as an “Honor Roll Star School.” This award recognizes our consistent high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement levels over time, and reduction in achievement gaps among student populations.

We are especially proud of the work done to significantly raise student achievement in math on the 2016 Smarter Balanced Assessment. For example, our recent 8th grade class increased from 51% meeting standards in 2015 to 72% meeting standards in 2016. This is well above the percent of students meeting standards in California (36%) and Orange County (47%).

    Way to go Falcons!
