Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! Vista View is bursting at the seams and so excited to provide new opportunities for our families and students. Beginning this school year, Vista has opened as a GATE Magnet school! We have always had GATE pathways for math and are excited to offer the complete GATE experience for students during their middle school years.
Vista View is undergoing modernization, so we have moved! We are currently housed at the Interim Site while our original facility gets a completely new look! When we return, Vista will have a structure that matches and supports all the programs we offer. We are so proud to offer pathways for speech and debate and esports. When we reopen our new facility, it will have a culinary arts room and garden so that we can provide our students a chance to grow food from farm to table and delve into culinary arts and gastronomy.
At Vista, we are committed to creating a school environment that is student centered and provides students the exposure to multiple experiences so that they know what they want to pursue in high school and beyond. This year, we have a collective focus in providing real world experiences for our students. This directly connects to the work Vista does and a project-based learning school with a STEAM focus.
All of this is possible because of our use of the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework for best practices that allows our students to have safe and engaging learning experiences. The PBIS framework is in all of our practices and serves us well as Falcons when we are on campus every day, and ensures we can optimize our learning and experiences on and off campus.
It is our goal and intention to offer programs that are inclusive for our families partnering with us in education, where the expertise of our teachers is highlighted, and learning is so engaging that it does not feel like work!
We are looking forward to days where our Falcons have the following experience:
On time, on task, organized
Respectful and responsible
