VAPA: Visual and Performing Arts
The Spring Musical at Vista View Middle School will be performed on May 14 and 15 at 7 PM. Join the performing arts class at this annual event. Tickets are $2 for students and $3 for adults. Under the expert direction of Nancy LaRuffa, this years performance promises to be a wonderful evening of family entertainment. Tickets are available at the door. The Marine View Music Department is having their annual Spring Fling dinner/show, "Rockin' America," on Friday, May 16 , starting with dinner and silent auction starting at 5:30pm, and the show at 7:15pm. The show features Jazz Ensemble, Dance Team, Jazz Band, and featured guests, The Golden West College Monday Night Jazz Band, under the direction of Tom Kubis. It is a great show and helps to raise money for the music department. Tickets are $12 each and include dinner (Carl's Jr.), the show, and raffle tickets. Ocean View's Annual District Music Festival was held on April 3, 2008 at Vista View Middle School. Over 350 middle school students from our four middle schools: Marine View, Mesa View, Spring View and Vista View, performed in front of family and community members celebrating a year's worth of instrumental and vocal instruction. On exhibit in Vista View's gymnasium/auditorium were drawings and paintings done by middle school students district-wide. A slide show of the event is coming soon! |
