VAPA: Visual and Performing Arts
Five years ago Ocean View School District, working in partnership with the Orange County Department of Education and Arts Orange County, enacted a policy to implement sequential K-8 arts education. Ocean View has long supported the arts as a partner to other core curricular contents for all students. Integral to our commitment has been the addition of a district arts coordinator and the development of standards-based units of study in visual arts, dance, theatre and music in grades kindergarten through sixth.
