Wellness Policy

The Ocean View School District's Wellness Policy states, “All students will be educated in learning environments that are safe, drug-free, and conducive to learning.” According to the Center for Disease and Control, promoting healthy and safe behaviors among students is an important part of the fundamental mission of school districts. School districts are to provide them with the knowledge and skills they need to become healthy and productive adults. Improving student health and safety can increase the students’ capacity to learn, reduce absenteeism, and improve physical fitness and mental alertness.
