Welcome to Ocean View School District. We are extremely proud of our schools as they reflect strong community support, dedicated teachers and staff, and a Board of Trustees whose first priority is a world-class education for our children. Ocean View is fortunate to have parents who make education a priority in their homes. Our community values and recognizes the importance of preparing our children to continue their academic success after our time with them.
Ocean View
School District has a well-earned reputation for academic
excellence and high achievement as evidenced by our fourteen
California Distinguished Schools, two National Blue Ribbon Schools,
six Title I High Achieving Schools, four California Golden Bell
schools, and three
CalSTAT Leadership sites.
Ocean View
is committed to providing the best education for all of our
children. Our focus for 2009-10 remains on research-based academic
programs, safe and supportive school environments, anti-bullying as
part of our positive behavior support systems, and maximizing
resources to benefit all our students. New science textbooks will
be utilized and
supported by an expansion of our Enhancing Education Through
Technology (E2T2) grant which includes elementary science and
technology. Data-driven interventions are part of our supports for
students struggling with academics, and we are enhancing our GATE
program by focusing on depth and complexity at all
levels.
